The Man in Heaven Blog began in 2007 when I purchased an Apple MacBook. Working with the new computer and the .Mac service make it easy to post pictures and web site content. So, I decided to try out the blog features. The blog name came from this picture of me on Caroline’s dock in Charleston.

I sent it to her and captioned it simply as “Man in Heaven.” I was referring to how happy I was there on the dock reading and relaxing. The name stayed with me and seemed perfect for the name of the blog. Using the Apple iLife program offered many attractive web creation features. On the other hand, it had complexities that made it a bit laborious to post a quick picture and note. In trying this blog service, I’m hoping for a more active blog.
